This week Office Depot & Staples have AA & AAA batteries free after rewards.  Besides being great to have for preparedness, great to have for Christmas morning.

Free batteries at Office Depot

If you have a business (even home business) or are a teacher, or homeschool; you can join the rewards program at Office Depot.  This week they have AA, & AAA batteries free after rewards.  This means you buy the batteries, & a few weeks later receive a certificate for that same amount to use at the store.  I do that & then buy the office/school supplies I would have needed anyway.  You can buy 2 a day all week!

Great free ebook on raising rabbits in colonies

I got this great free ebook from www.raisingrabbitsformeat.com.  I bought their ebook & it's been great!
Tiffany recently released a free ebook about raising rabbits in colonies or tractors.  I didn't know anything about this & find it quite interesting.  I'm now considering switching to a colony method instead.  My main interest in it is how letting them go underground as they do in nature reduces the clean up, & helps them deal with winter & summer temperatures better.  I had some hassle trying to keep them cool last summer, & in a survival situation I wouldn't be able to use extra water to cool them, or frozen water if there was no power.  You can download the free ebook at rabbits in colonies ebook.

Free at Walgreens this week!

Here's what I got at Walgreens this week.  The toothpaste & shampoo were free after coupons & register rewards.  I paid $9 for the U by Kotex (after coupons) & got back $10 in movie cash.  (you may want to check that there's a theater near you on the movie cash before buying http://emoviecash.com/locator/)

Free stuff at Walgreens this week

Look at a site such as www.moneysavingmom.com for details on how to do this exactly.
But basically the first aid gel is free after register rewards.  The toothpaste was $.25 after coupons & register rewards.  The shave gel was $.45 after both of those, & the Ecotrin after coupons made me $1 (which covered the $.45 & $.25 on the other items).  Awesome!

There's also a deal on Kotex pads, buy 3 with coupons for $9, & get $10 back in movie cash.  This wasn't working yet a my store but it might be at yours!  These prices should be good through Saturday.

Here's the pile of items I got at Walgreens today.  The Neosporin & Carefree are great items to put in your storage.  This pile was not only free, but I'll make $5 on it after I mail in the rebate.  Look on sites such as Money Saving Mom to find details on the rebates & coupons necessary to get these deals!
The normal cost on this was $33.

Free cat litter

Ok not only is free cat litter a good way to stock up for your pet...but I've been told in a pinch, you can use cat litter for humans.  Obviously not our first choice, but hey, it's free!

I was reading recently about things that are in great demand after a natural disaster.  One was over the counter pain medicine, & another was eye drops.  I hadn't thought about eye drops!  But you can get both those things free after register rewards at Walgreens this week.  Grab an ad when you go in the store, they're on the back page.  Can't beat free!

Free batteries

Office Depot has 8 pack for AA or AAA Energizer batteries for $7.49 each.  Get back that same amount on your rewards card to spend later.  They also have a lot of other free stuff too.  The "bankers boxes" can be great for storing prep items in.  Limit 2 of each item per day.  Good in store or online!
