These look like a good way to help earthquake proof your canning jars. But so expensive! I'd never be able to afford enough of these for all my canning jars!
We have about 60 doz bottles and no way would I spend that much money on boxes. So what we did is found a good box size and ordered cardboard boxes from uline.com (less than $1 ea) the box size is 15x11x7 (this fits standard canning jars beautifully) and we ordered some thin packing foam cut in square sheets. Then I boxed my jars, cut some foam strips to place in between the jars for jiggle proof, labeled the boxes and stacked on our shelf with a strap in front to hold there. (The shelf is also anchored in the cement) It may not be perfect, but I feel more secured than my hard work and storage efforts get all shattered in a quake. Food for thought!
